Why isn’t a browser window opening when I try to log in?
The Halo app uses your device’s browser to securely log you in. If nothing opens, something on the device is blocking that process.
Common causes:
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) policies
- Work profiles (especially on Android)
- Device security restrictions (e.g. on managed Apple devices)
What to try:
- Check if your device has a work profile enabled
- Try installing or logging in outside of that profile
- Try a different (non-managed) device if possible
If you’re using a work-managed device:
Contact your IT team.
What to tell IT:
“The Halo app requires access to the device’s web browser for secure login (OAuth/SSO). It appears our device management settings may be blocking this.”
