Location Tracking
Location tracking in Halo is designed specifically for mobile app users and is tied to event bookings. This ensures accurate, event-specific tracking while maintaining user privacy outside of active events.
How It Works
-
Event-Based Tracking: Users are only tracked when they are booked onto an event. Once they book off, their location pin is removed from the map, and they are no longer tracked in the app.
-
Personal Devices: If users are accessing Halo via their own personal devices, they can opt in or out of location tracking through their device’s location settings. These device-level controls can override Halo’s tracking functionality.
Key Points
-
Tracking is automatic during booked events.
-
Location tracking stops immediately after booking off.
-
Users retain control over tracking if using personal devices.
This feature only applies to mobile app users. Desktop or web-only users are not tracked.
